The Plain Truth - A Magazine Of Understanding

I remember during the 70s and 80s, I would often pick up a free copy of The Plain Truth Magazine from magazine vending boxes in my home town and surrounding communities. Looking back, these magazines planted seeds of faith that set the stage for my current CI beliefs.

"The Plain Truth was a free-of-charge monthly magazine, first published in 1934 by Herbert W. Armstrong, founder of The Worldwide Church of God. The magazine, subtitled as The Plain Truth: a magazine of understanding, gradually developed into an international, free-of-charge news magazine, sponsored by the WCG church membership. The magazine's messages often centered on the pseudo-scientific doctrine of British Israelism, the belief that the early inhabitants of the British Isles, and hence their descendants, were actually descendants of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel."

The Prodigal Son Identified – The Lost Tribes Of The House Of Israel

While most Christians are taught to universalize all of the parables of Jesus, each parable has a deeper meaning that only those with spiritual discernment will understand.

Especially with the parable of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15, Christians will understand only the banal, superficial meaning — that even the worst sinners must be welcomed back into their congregations if they show repentance — and “good” Christians shouldn’t be angered over the gifts of grace bestowed on those who have not led a godly life as they have.

But beneath the surface of this parable, its true meaning and importance points to a fulfillment of Christ’s explicitly stated purpose, which we cannot emphasize enough:

    “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

Among His disciples — especially those Israelites in Judea who had kept the faith and never strayed — the idea that their promised Messiah would show more concern to those Israelites who had abandoned that faith — became divorced from God — and lived for the last 600 years as pagans — certainly rankled many who followed Him faithfully. Where Did The Lost Tribes Of Israel Go?

One of the biggest mysteries of the Bible, is what on earth happened to the 10 Lost Tribes? Where did they go? Why can't we find them? Did they just disappear and vanish never to be seen again. Well modern archeology and history can tell you all about the ancient civilizations and even those that existed around the lost tribes. The Romans, The Greeks, The Persians, The Assyrians, the Babylonians but not those lost tribes. Could there be a conspiracy? An effort to cover up, to the hide the truth of the true identity of those of the lost tribes. The truth is the Lost Tribes were never lost, they simply went to Europe and became the Europeans. They became the Christian people, because the Apostles sought out the Lost Tribes in Europe, since that is who Christianity was intended for. We are descended from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
